Durante m\u00e1s de 30 a\u00f1os, la levadura roja de arroz<\/strong> ha formado parte de numerosos complementos alimenticios destinados a regular el perfil de colesterol sangu\u00edneo, gracias a su riqueza en una mol\u00e9cula llamada Monacolina K<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Pues bien, la EFSA (Autoridad Europea de Segurid<\/p>\n

ad Alimentaria) ya ha anunciado su intenci\u00f3n de prohibir la venta de suplementos que contengan 3 mg o m\u00e1s de Monacolina K<\/strong>, algo que inicialmente anunciaron que ocurrir\u00eda en la segunda mitad de 2021. Teniendo en cuenta que la dosis m\u00e1s frecuentemente utilizada es la de 10 mg de Monacolina K, el mercado de la suplementaci\u00f3n europeo destinado a proteger los niveles de colesterol sangu\u00edneos se va a quedar \u2018hu\u00e9rfano\u2019 de un ingrediente que hasta la fecha contaba con una popularidad y uso muy extendido.<\/p>\n

Estando as\u00ed las cosas, es deseable buscar nuevas opciones dentro del mundo de los complementos alimenticios que ayuden a mantener unos niveles de colesterol saludables.<\/p>\n

Desde NUA, recientemente hemos desarrollado una novedosa formulaci\u00f3n llamada NuaLipid<\/strong>, cuyo ingrediente principal es un extracto de una manzana popularmente conocida como \u2018manzana Annurca<\/strong>\u2019. Este extracto, junto con el hidroxitirosol de la aceituna, la alcachofa y la vitamina D, se presenta como un complemento totalmente novedoso.<\/p>\n

La capacidad de Nualipid para regular el colesterol supera al de la Monacolina K<\/strong>, aportando un control no s\u00f3lo del colesterol LDL sino tambi\u00e9n del HDL (algo que no hace la levadura roja de arroz). Unos niveles de HDL bajos deber\u00edan de preocupar tanto como unos niveles de LDL elevados<\/strong>, por cuanto suponen un factor de riesgo cardiovascular<\/strong> reconocido por los estamentos m\u00e9dicos y cient\u00edficos internacionales m\u00e1s relevantes. Por tanto, podemos decir que, el perfil de actividad de este nuevo suplemento es superior y m\u00e1s completo a lo ya existente en el mercado dentro de esta tipolog\u00eda de productos.<\/p>\n
