En nuestro organismo conviven \u2018distintos tipos\u2019 de radicales libres y el mero hecho de que una sustancia sea antioxidante, no implica que sea capaz de combatir igual de eficazmente a todos ellos.\u00a0Por ello, no todos los antioxidantes son iguales, y su mayor o menor efectividad depender\u00e1 de:<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Huella antioxidante:<\/strong>\u00a0capacidad para anular al mayor tipo de radicales libres. El hidroxitirosol es capaz de actuar frente a los principales radicales libres que existen (aprox. 5 tipos).<\/p>\n

Potencia antioxidante<\/a>:<\/strong>\u00a0porcentaje de cada tipo de radicales libres, que es capaz de eliminar.<\/p>\n

Bioasimilaci\u00f3n:<\/strong>\u00a0se refiere a la cantidad de sustancia antioxidante que es capaz de llegar al interior de las c\u00e9lulas. A mayor bioasimilaci\u00f3n, mayor poder antioxidante que accede a la c\u00e9lula. La bioasimilaci\u00f3n del hidroxitirosol es del 99%, un aspecto rese\u00f1able comparado con otros conocidos antioxidantes (ej. resveratrol o la curcumina).<\/p>\n

Tiempo de residencia:<\/strong>\u00a0tiempo que permanece activo el antioxidante en nuestro cuerpo antes de ser eliminado. EL hidroxitirosol permanece de 6 a 8 horas, mucho m\u00e1s que otro tipo de antioxidantes (ej. vitamina C).<\/p>\n
